cookies, teddies & a special bday

Mom and I had fun today. We knew it would be a good day when I woke up smiling and clapping. We baked Dad cookies because his birthday is coming up. I watched. And ate the cookies, of course.

I decided to share my abundance of Teddy Grahams with Dad, too. See? It says "To: Daddy From: Moo (my nickname) Love you! Happy Bday!"

There is even a picture of us on the back of the box. -maddox

TURKEY DAY

I woke up with a cold. But, it was Thanksgiving, so I couldn't get too sad about it. I had turkey and dressing waiting for me and lots of family to ooh and ahh over me.
Uncle Tony and Aunt Nancy had a pool in their backyard full of fish. I attempted to catch one but it didn't work out.
And I never even bothered with the turkey. I skipped the meal and went straight for the chocolate. -maddox

HAT WEATHER

There is a kind of weather for hats. A hat can make the difference between me going outside or being stuck inside, so yes, I love hats.
I can't decide which is cuter, though: the stripes or the red moose?

Oh well.

I can have two favorites. -maddox

dirt, dirt, dirt...more dirt

I love digging in the dirt, digging up NaNa's flowers and swiping my hand in the dog bowl while being told no-no. Mom needs to get me a shirt that says "Santa, I can explain." I think it might help my chances this Christmas. -maddox

THE BIG MOVE

Mom says that in March, we will be moving to Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. I've seen pictures of the place and it looks like we are going on a vacation. Except, in this case, the vacation will last a couple of years at least. Then, Mom says, we will move again.
It's in an area nicknamed the "Emerald Coast." I can see why!

As you can see, I'm ready to go! Mom and Dad, bring some sunscreen! Looks like I'll be doing some beach living. -maddox

ALL GROWN UP

Mom and Dad are "grown ups." I'm not exactly sure what a grown up is but I think I'm getting close to being one. In two weeks, I've really grown up! I decided that walking is way better than crawling. One day I just walked across the yard perfectly, as if I had been doing it for months (I've had lots of practice). I can now help NaNa pick up her pinecones and throw them in the wheelbarrow.
I've gained a couple pounds. It's probably from all the cream cheese I've licked off crackers recently.
Every day NaNa gives me a "surprise," which is a mini Hershey bar hidden in a bag in the pantry (except I know where it's hidden). I leave my evidence sometimes around the house, in the form of a chocolate handprint.

After my chocolate, Mom brushes my teeth. By the way, I now have TEN! Two jaw teeth just came through.

Sometimes I wear Papa Joe's big hat when it's cold and we go 4-wheeler riding down to see Grandma Trues and Grandaddy. Yea...I am pretty spoiled and I know it.

I love throwing things in the trash. I even "threw away" my bottles to Mom and now use a cup. Growing up is fun! -maddox
