TEDDY GRAHAM SUNDAY

It was a lazy Sunday. Like a little old man, I bird-watched from the front porch and thought about the nice weather. I also destroyed another bib with Teddy Graham drool.
I am not afraid of talking with my mouth open. In fact, I am proud of the number of Teddy Graham pieces I was able to stash in there. I even shared some of my teddies with Mom.

PRETTY IN...PINK?

I am man enough to sit with a pink blanket. Actually, I think the color really brings out my eyes. -maddox

NO BEACH FOR ME

Mom and Dad disappeared for a couple of days, so I stayed with Grandma. I had a great time, but when I found out Mom and Dad went to the beach without me, of course, I got a little upset.
They promised I could go next time. That made me happy!

It feels good having Mom and Dad back! -maddox

MEMORIAL DAY

Today was Memorial Day. I went through two outfits, sampled hush puppies and pie, and topped it off with some of Papa Joe's homemade banana ice cream.
It was GOOD!

I wish our soldiers all around the world could get a taste of that ice cream. -maddox

SWIMMING LESSONS

I'm teaching Abbie how to crawl. But first, you have to think of it as swimming. -maddox

NEW CLOTHES

Today, that mean nurse at the doctor's office took my finger, pricked it and then tried to squeeze out all my blood. She attempted to apologize by putting a cute bandaid on it, but it still hurt. The pain got better, though, when I got home and saw all my new clothes laid out! I still nursed my wound, as you can see, but I started smiling again.
My grandad from Louisiana sent me all of this cool stuff. I was drawn to the swimming trunks right away.

There is nothing to help a boo-boo better than getting presents! Thank you Grandad! -maddox

MCBEE

There is a town called McBee. If you blink, you might miss it. But if you have a good eye, like Papa Joe, you will see Mcleod Farms - a country store filled with fresh goodies. This man will greet you at the door, but be careful...he is a little scary and stiff as a board. And he's even bigger than Papa Joe! I think he's been around a few hundred years or so.
If you're little like me, you'll have fun on the rocky horse. If Grandma had let go I probably would have raced across the store and out the door!

But, the best part is the peach ice cream. You have to be really hungry, though, because the cones are huge!!

Back at Grandma's, I jammed to some music.

I stood up on the cd player, then pretended it was a drum.

After all this, I slept through Rachael Ray, Dr. Phil AND Oprah. -maddox

THE WORST WORD: NO-NO

When my parents aren't looking, I race over to attack my cd player and play with the cord. Then I beat on it and press all the buttons. Mom keeps it unplugged unless she is in the room because she knows how quick I am. And when she catches me with the cord, I always hear the same horrible word: no-no.
This is my look of defiance. -maddox

TURTLE PIE

Sunday dinner with Grandma "Trues" means that I get to try out a lot of good food. My favorite today was the Turtle Pie. The whipped cream and caramel were amazing. I got greedy and wanted all of Mom's.
Then, with a mouthful of this deliciousness, I mumbled something and it came out to sound like "it's good."
Before my sugar crash, I crawled all over Dad.

I had a full tummy and felt pretty dang good. But as soon as I settled into my carseat, I was out. -maddox

MIMI'S BIRTHDAY

Mimi had a birthday today, so we celebrated at a Mexican restaurant and I was an angel!

I didn't cry even once in my high chair. Why would I? I was the center of attention and got to chew on french fries.

I was so good that the manager gave me a shiny necklace on my way out. I can't wait until I have a birthday one day!! -maddox

MY TALENTS

I can do two things really, really well: drooling...
...and getting around the internet better than most people over age 35. -maddox

WHAT A MESS!

For dinner, I cleaned out a baby food jar of chicken and vegetables, munched on some graham crackers, and then made Mom and Dad share their beef stew with me.
I might end up saying "oink oink" next if I keep this up! -maddox

FRIDAY NIGHT

This Friday I hung out with Jacob and Aidan. The adults grilled out all kinds of goodies but I managed to sneak in a French fry and Aidan got some ice cream.
Uncle Jody stopped by and charmed me with his iPhone. I am a sucker for anything with buttons.
But, I'm definitely not a party animal. I crashed only one hour into it. I heard my buddies kept the adults busy, though. We can't let them have it TOO easy.

I woke back up just as everybody was leaving. Oh well, maybe being a night owl comes with age! -maddox

PRESENTS IN THE MAIL

I don't always like to eat in my high chair. Sometimes, I like to throw my food on the floor. I call this "playing." Other times, I wiggle constantly, looking for an escape. This morning, I found the nipple on my bottle much more fun than my peaches. I'd squeeze it - the sound it made was hilarious!!
Then the mailman dropped off a present for me! A life vest and some sunglasses for when I hit the lake this summer. The vest looked cool and was fun to squish, but when I put it on...I hated it. I threw a complete fit, with real tears and all.

I chilled out on Papa Joe's hammock later that afternoon. All I needed was a beach and it would have been perfect.

I finally decided I like my sunglasses. But even so, I will still try my best to pull them off. -maddox
