COUSIN ABBY

I met my cousin Abby today. She smiled at me and I think she wanted to hug me, but I wasn't sure.
She also discovered my feet...and squealed at them. I didn't know if it was a happy squeal or if she was yelling at me. So, I did the only thing I knew to do: cry. *sigh* Girls already confuse me.

TEN TOES

The doctor told Mom to put me in my carseat after I eat, thanks to something called "acid reflux." It helps me spit up that stinky white stuff less. But what's really cool is that the other night -in this very seat- I discovered that I have the power to MOVE my feet.

I can bring them together to touch or kick them apart. It's so much fun.
Before, I just thought my hands were cool. But my feet...well, I am in awe of them.

PUMPKIN GETS A FACE

Grandmas are a lot of fun. I have...hmmm...1,2,3,4,FIVE of them! It's hard to keep track.

This is my mom's mom. Today, we gave the pumpkin a face! (Well, to be honest, I just watched...I can't quite handle a carving knife yet.)
Even though he is smiling, I am a little scared of him and would rather keep my distance.
I mean, he is cute and all, but my smile is way cuter. Don't you think? -maddox

I HAVE...

...so many faces. The I'm-a-deep-thinker-face:

The I-am-going-to-shriek-if-you-don't-get-me-out-of-this-bouncy-seat-right-now-face: And of course, the Please-keep-playing-with-me-face. -maddox

THE GREAT PUMPKIN

Mom dressed me in overalls today and we all set out on a journey to find the perfect first pumpkin for me....

The journey ended about 1/2 mile down the road at a "pumpkin patch." My buddy Jacob and I were a little overwhelmed by all the orange...
...and by all the different sizes, colors and, um, textures. I never knew pumpkins got warts. Gross.
But, Dad finally helped me decide. Turns out, it's not for eating, but for carving and "looking at." Honestly, I'd rather sleep! -maddox

EYES WIDE OPEN

I like my bouncy seat, BUT...that blue bird is always staring at me and it creeps me out. So, I stay awake, and stare right back. -maddox

MOST OF THE TIME...

I am serious. I like to listen, look and furrow my brows.

But, if you catch me in the right mood, and sing "patty cake patty cake" about 10 times, I smile like there's no tomorrow.

BOOK WORM

It's a conspiracy - Mom is trying her best to morph me into a book worm. I mean, c'mon, the book is bigger than me! I will admit, though, that swatting at those annoying pop-up animals is pretty darn fun. -maddox

THE REAL THING

I've finally mastered smiling in my sleep AND my awake time. Here is the first real one caught on camera...now if only I could master laughing....

FIVE GENERATIONS

I got to meet my great-great Grandma Catherine today. I can't count yet, so I'm not sure how old she is, but I think the great-great part of her name makes her a lot older than me.
But, even with the age gap, we found some common ground.

COPYCAT

When no one is looking, I like to sport a mohawk. Turns out, I have a

copycat.
